Kevin Hornberger was born in North East, Maryland in 1981 and graduated from Rising Sun High School in 1999, where he was selected as a Library of Congress Leadership Fellow. He earned his associate degree from Cecil College, attended the University of Maryland College Park — where he was a founding father of Chi Phi Fraternity — and completed his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at the University of the District of Columbia in 2010.

Kevin spent fifteen years as Facility Manager at the Library of Congress and served at the US Copyright Office. Since 2006 he has owned and operated Blue Collar Engineer, Inc. He served as Chief Manufacturing Engineer at CloudSolar, Inc., is a graduate of the Cecil Leadership Institute, and a member of Leadership Maryland’s Class of 2016. He is a proud father of two.

First elected in 2014, Kevin has represented District 35B in the Maryland House of Delegates since 2015 — sponsoring about 40 pieces of legislation that successfully passed into law and helping thousands of constituents navigate the State bureaucracy.
