I am proud to be endorsed by Maryland Right to Life, including for cosponsoring legislation such as HB-583. For rumor control, this bill does NOT expand abortions of babies with Down’s Syndrome as the recent poorly-researched attack from one of my opponents claims. It in fact does the opposite and is anti-eugenics legislation; and would have established that prenatal diagnoses of Down’s Syndrome cannot be used as cause to have an abortion. Anyone running for Delegate should know how the legislative process works (let alone understand how to read a bill) to be at all effective while representing Cecil County in Annapolis.
